Here's a great bit of brush and ink animation from Hungary. It has an amazing use of line and the sense of weight is amazing. Enjoy!

This film is a real treat. An independent film from commercial director Tom Schoeder, it has wonderfully fluid animation topped with a hilariously deadpan narration.

Figures!
Dennis The Menace Vinyl Figure, 1959
It's amazing that this was made about fifty years ago, and yet it's so faithful to the original design. The sculpt captures a very stylized character extremely well, right down to the pose and paint used.

Films
Ropes of Silicon has the first images from the new Coen Brothers film No Country For Old Men. The shots show that while there may be no country for old men, there is Josh Brolin holding a gun, Tommy Lee Jones looking skeptical, and Javier Bardem dressed as Johnny Cash meets He-Man. I'm excited. See the incredible trailer here:
Eastern Promises Trailer, could be cool:
Here's an extended trailer for Sunshine, I've been looking forward to this flick for a year now, it's only a couple weeks away, nice sci-fi movies are rare and too far apart.Via iwtachstuff
