I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that when you're dealing with a movie comprised entirely of lazy references to other movies, the poster is basically going to look like a grotesquely visual works cited page, but it seems pretty daring to present what I'd guess is every "joke" in the movie in a single image. They've just totally ruined the gag where Indiana Jones is a midget, and the gag where the Chipmunks look like nightmares, and the gag where Hellboy is... present. [Via iwatchstuff.com]

'Disaster Movie' Poster Accurately Portrays Terribleness of 'Disaster Movie'

George Carlin, the controversial funny-man rumored to have said as many as seven bad words, died two weeks ago of heart failure at the age of 71. He will be remembered as a great comedian, an actor, and a guru who time-traveled from the year 2688 to help Bill and Ted with their history report. Shit, piss, and fuck.
Here's a great clip:The QT's new Screenplay
Also of note: "bastards" is spelled "basterds" throughout the script, though it's not entirely clear if that's intentional or not because there are apparently many other spelling and grammatical errors throughout (I'm hoping it was somehow an accident; otherwise it's going to really eff up my blog tags). So while it's reassuring to hear that Tarantino looks to have another hit, it's also oddly depressing to realize the man who brought us Pulp Fiction is still having issues with plural vs. possessive and "they're" and "there." Maybe he was using YouTube comments as a reference. [Via iwatchstuff.com]

God Awful 3D/CG Animated Movie Trailers of the Week
I guess that last one isn't as bad, but still... seriously? The visuals are OK, but the story of a mouse in a cook's kitchen? Hasn't that been done? :)
Some of those trailers are new, some are old, but they are definitely worth watching.
Back to this "Fly Me To The Moon" movie...

With the exception of the brilliant minds behind Kung-Fu Panda, I don't think Pixar has anything to worry about.
