O Captain! My Captain! The Legendary LOU ALBANO Dies at 76
Tie a black rubber band around your beards, friends. "Captain" Lou Albano, professional wrestler, manager, actor, and, with Cyndi Lauper, occasional gas station owner/father, died today at 76.
In tribute to this rotund great, let's take a moment to "do the Mario":
Phew. That dance is like a month of mourning. I feel a lot better now.

Slow Motion Video Of Bullet Impacts On Various Materials
An amazing 10-minute video showing the impact of bullets on various targets at 1 million frames per second! Some shots show bullets turning inside out and others getting split in half, truly incredible. It was made by German engineer Werner Mehl who created the PVM-21 infrared chronograph, in many respects the most sophisticated ballistic speed-measuring system.

Andrew Chase does it again with his mechanical cheetah
Designer Andrew Chase’s mechanical cheetah seems straight from Transformers. The whimsical cheetah seems poised to move above ground, and is a part of Chase’s ongoing Timmy project, which also features a giraffe and elephant. The fully-articulated cheetah is 61 cm (24 inches) high and 127 cm (50 inches) in length. The steampunked cheetah replicates the joint’s movements of its flesh and blood counterpart.
