The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse

A revival of the classic Terrytoons character Mighty Mouse. It was produced by the infamous maverick Ralph Bakshi (who got his start in the animation industry working at Terrytoons). Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures is considered by some to be a major truning point in the history of American animation. It was the first American animated TV series since the 1960s in which its staff was allowed to go wild. Many of its staff (including John Kricfalusi, Eddie Fitzgerald, Jim Smith, Bruce Timm, Jim Reardon, and others) went to work on hits including Ren & Stimpy, the Simpsons, Tiny Toon Adventures, Batman: The Animated Series, the Critic and Futurama. In this series, Mighty Mouse was given a "real" identity: Mike Mouse, who worked for the Pearl Pureheart. Mighty Mouse was also given a sidekick: Scrappy, a young orphan mouse who became good friends with Mighty Mouse. The series was packed with in-jokes and parodies and appearances by other Terrytoon characters including Gandy Goose and Sourpuss and Deputy Dawg. Info courtesy of: Retro Junk.

Here's a YouTube goldmine of 10-minute episodes, enjoy the madness.
