Where the Wild Things Are... Animated!

Disney had done a test for Where the Wild Things Are, directed by John Lasseter and animated by Glen Keane years ago. This is a great bit of animation history showcasing some early computer animation, but more importantly it gives us a little glimpse into the future career of John Lasseter. In honor of the film being made now by the talented Spike Jonze, watch this fascinating stuff:

Turtle Power!

You have to watch this!

Presspop Gallery Pogeybait Figure

Here's the Dan Clowes' Eightball character.
There is an alternate version that comes with a yellow shirt and green bow tie, if a less-naked Pogeybait is easier for you to handle. Atomic Books has this version for $39.99 + shipping, and Voltageland.com has the less-clothed edition for sale for $45.00 + shipping. As an added bonus, the box is covered with Clowes comics!

Day Night Day Night

This looks compelling. I hope the film is as well made as this trailer:
A 19-year-old girl prepares to become a suicide bomber in Times Square. She speaks with no accent; it’s impossible to pinpoint her ethnicity. We never learn why she made her decision — she has made it already. We don’t know whom she represents, what she believes in - we only know she believes it absolutely.
